Job Summary
Lead Base Building Technician responsible for overseeing base building activities, directing two technicians, and troubleshooting/maintaining mechanical and electrical systems including life-safety, HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and associated equipment. Lead a team, assign tasks, track daily work, inspect and PM generators, compressors, water heaters, pumps, and inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operations meet client design conditions. Responsibilities include ordering parts, managing work orders, communicating project status, and ensuring safety compliance; requires proficiency with power/tools and Microsoft Office, plus willingness to work flexible shifts and on-call duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in maintenance of mechanical or electrical base building systems
- Experience with life-safety systems preferably
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to read blueprints/electrical schematics (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible shifts including holidays/weekends
