Job Summary
Lead Barber/Mentor responsible for motivating and coaching barbers, delivering the Tommy Gun’s guest experience, training and educating the team, maintaining grooming stations, maximizing retail opportunities, and delivering expert haircut/shave services. Requires Journeyman certification or in-progress apprenticeship; full-time role located at Mayfield Common in Edmonton. Starting wage at $18/hour with performance-based pay, plus benefits, RRSP contributions, vacation pay, training, and opportunities for career advancement. Global opportunities across Canada, USA, Australia, and NZ.
Required Qualifications
- Trained Journeyman-certified Barber or Hair Stylist, or in the process of completing Apprenticeship
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills
- Adaptability to Fast-paced Environment
- In-depth Industry Knowledge and Trend Awareness
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Flexibility for Shift Work
- Demonstrates high level across haircut styles, fades and shave services
- Upselling techniques/Retail offering
- Ability to develop relationships with Shop Managers and Education Team
- Understanding of industry trends
- Confident in one-on-one training
- Ability to provide consultations and recommend services
