Job Summary
Lead Backend Engineer role at Piktochart focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure backend architecture. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver reliable backend solutions, improve reliability, performance, and security for high-volume requests, oversee database architecture and query optimization, conduct code reviews, evaluate new technologies, and contribute to technical leadership. Requires 5+ years of backend experience with Ruby on Rails and TypeScript, API/backend services experience, relational databases mastery, cloud and CI/CD familiarity, strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, and experience mentoring developers. Also includes building AI tools and agents within the backend stack.
