Job Summary
Design, implement, and operate backend services powering payment flows, identity verification, and loyalty features across the full lifecycle from API design to production rollouts. Drive cross-team technical leadership by leading design discussions, producing documentation, and raising quality standards through rigorous testing strategies and safe progressive rollouts. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on event-driven patterns and operational excellence while eliminating technical debt in a codebase handling 2M+ daily payments. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure systems meet evolving user needs within a FinTech environment using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
Required Qualifications
- at least 5 years of related experience in back-end software engineering
- proven track record of working with microservices
- cloud environments
- high-paced, mission-critical contexts
- deep experience with Java
- Spring Boot
- strong understanding of distributed systems
- ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and convincingly
- ability to coordinate implementations with other teams
- ability to build trust with various stakeholders
- passion for FinTech
- fluent in English
