Job Summary
Lead Backend Developer responsible for designing and building scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript on AWS. Architect and implement microservices-based solutions and distributed systems. Develop cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.). Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensure code quality through unit/integration testing and code reviews, and implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline). Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, reliability, and security. Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10+ years backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience with API-driven and microservices-based architectures
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora, API Gateway, SQS, SNS)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (plus)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
- Mentor/leadership experience or potential
