Lead AWS Solutions Architect

Lead technical discovery for complex underwriting initiatives, transforming ambiguous business requirements into robust, shovel-ready architectural blueprints. Design and prototype cloud-native solutions on AWS using Serverless technologies like Lambda, Step Functions, and DynamoDB. Write Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK in Python and TypeScript to create standardized artifacts. Drive the transition from legacy point-to-point connections to modern, event-driven architectures. Oversee the stability, observability via Datadog/Splunk, and security of live production systems. Navigate governance boards and Architecture Review Boards to ensure enterprise standards are met without sacrificing business agility. This 1-year FTC role is based in the City of London with a hybrid schedule of three days in-office.
