Job Summary

Lead Avionics Technician responsible for performing and overseeing avionics maintenance, troubleshooting, installations, and repairs on widebody aircraft in an MRO environment. Leads and supports avionics technicians during maintenance and modification activities, reads and interprets wiring diagrams and engineering documents, conducts operational testing, troubleshoots electrical discrepancies, and ensures all work complies with FAA regulations and company standards. Supports heavy maintenance on widebody aircraft, mentors junior technicians, maintains maintenance documentation, and upholds a clean, safe work environment. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of avionics maintenance experience, widebody aircraft experience, and authorization to work in the United States; FAA A&P license or FCC license is preferred but not required depending on program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4+ years of avionics maintenance experience
  • Widebody aircraft experience required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing avionics systems on widebody aircraft
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Experience performing avionics installations, modifications, and repairs
  • Leadership experience or ability to guide and support technicians
  • Must provide own tools

Desired Qualifications

  • FAA A&P license or FCC license preferred but not required unless specified by program requirements
  • Military avionics experience considered
  • Leadership experience or ability to guide and support technicians
  • Ability to lift, stand, and work in various physical positions throughout the shift
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing avionics systems on widebody aircraft
  • Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Mentoring/training junior technicians
  • Experience performing avionics installations, modifications, and repairs
