Job Summary
Residential Audiovisual Lead Technician responsible for installation and maintenance of complex AV systems, supervising installers, interfacing with clients (sales engineering, demonstrations, client training, sign-offs), and ensuring systems meet industry standards. Duties include pre-wire, trim-out, finish installation of AV, control/automation, security, CCTV, and data systems; troubleshooting; and coordinating with design engineers, technicians, and other trades. Requires 3-5 years AV experience, familiarity with Crestron/Savant/RTI/Lutron and related tools, ability to read schematics, manage cabling and rack builds, and lead a crew to deliver completed installations in Orlando, FL. Certifications (CEDIA, ICIA InfoComm CTS/CTS-I) are helpful; strong communication and independent work capability are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Residential AV experience
- Experience with installing, testing and commissioning custom control systems
- Familiarity with Crestron, Savant, or similar control systems
- Ability to read AV system schematics and supporting documentation
- Strong wiring/cabling and testing skills
- Liaison with clients and other trades
- Good communication and leadership abilities
