Lead Automation Technician

Job Summary

Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment including electric forklifts, robotics, conveyor systems, and dock doors. Troubleshoot equipment failures using root cause analysis and historical data from the Field Connect service platform, adhering to manufacturer repair guidelines. Facilitate work and repair requests, coordinate warranty claims, and manage outside vendor work and parts ordering through the PO process. Provide shift coverage and communicate PTO plans with customers while maintaining accurate daily work orders and inventory records. Perform equipment audits per the PM Planning tools schedule and complete monthly safety training requirements. Maintain safe work areas, organize daily operations using 5S principles, and ensure all tasks are completed timely and accurately.

  • Electrical- 480V, VFD's, Relays, Motor Controls, electric motors, HMI's, Contactors, Timers, Proximity Sensors/Switches, Electro-Mechanical background, Industrial Batteries
  • Allen Bradley PLC experience
  • Mechanical- Gear boxes, Chains, Sprockets, MHE Equipment/Electric Forklifts, Hydraulic systems, Dock, and Door experience
  • Arc, Mig, and Tig welding experience
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics
  • Must be able to read wiring diagrams
  • Must be able to read hydraulic diagrams
  • Must be able to read pneumatic prints
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical components involving wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Must be able to identify issues with automation equipment going offline using laptop software
  • Must be able to perform audits on equipment audits per the PM Planning tools schedule in Field Connect service platform
  • Must be able to fill out and complete daily work orders
  • Must be able to maintain accurate and timely entry of work hours in Paylocity time keeping platform
  • Must be able to complete all repairs of equipment in a timely manner and by the manufacturer's repair guidelines

Desired Qualifications
