Lead Audiovisual Technician - DoD Projects (HI)

Job Summary
Lead on-site delivery and commissioning of AV installations for DoD projects, overseeing hardware deployment (video endpoints, digital signage, audio systems, room control), wiring of low-voltage cabling, and integration with network gear. You’ll configure and test network hardware and software (Crestron/AMX/Extron DSPs, Cisco/Polycom cloud tools), load control system code, set IP networking, and ensure room systems operate seamlessly. You’ll lead a team of installers, read architectural drawings and AV schematics, maintain project records, and serve as the main on-site client contact. The role requires strong communication, a customer-first mindset, and up-to-date safety practices. Expect up to 50% travel and adherence to DoD clearance requirements, with potential upgrade to Top Secret in the future.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- 5-7+ years of commercial or government AV installation and field deployment experience
- Prior lead or supervisor experience is strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- OSHA-30 strong advantage
- AVIXA CTS or CTS-I preferred
- Crestron DMC-D, Biamp Tesira, Extron training a plus
- Clean Driver’s License
