Job Summary
Lead on-site AV installations and commissioning for DoD projects, overseeing a field team to ensure high-quality AV systems deployment. Responsibilities include hardware installation, rack wiring, room control interfaces, DSP configuration, IP networking, and integration with conferencing platforms (Cisco, Polycom, cloud tools). Travel to client sites in DMV and other eligible regions. Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance; on-site role with no remote work option. Prefer candidates near the Virginia–Maryland–Washington DC beltway, Charleston, SC, or Savannah, GA. Certifications such as AVIXA CTS/CTS-I and Crestron/Extron training are a plus. Education includes high school diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor degrees preferred. OSHA-30 and IT/networking skills are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's preferred
- 5-7+ years of AV installation and field deployment experience; lead/supervisor experience preferred
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Level Security Clearance (mandatory)
- Strong on-site, hands-on installation, commissioning and client hand-off capabilities
- Experience with low-voltage wiring, network configuration, and AV-over-IP technologies
- Proficiency with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp Tesira, Cisco/Polycom, DSP setup
