Lead Audiovisual Technician - Central Florida

Job Summary
Lead on-site AV installations and project leadership for complex audiovisual systems, including hardware installation, system configuration, network setup, and commissioning. Manage delivery of video conferencing endpoints, digital signage, room control interfaces, and AV racks, while coordinating with field teams to meet safety and quality standards. Configure network hardware and software, load control system codes (Crestron/AMX/Extron), adjust DSP files (Biamp Tesira, ClearOne), and integrate conferencing platforms (Cisco, Polycom, cloud tools). Troubleshoot advanced signal-flow and network issues, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain as-built documentation. Serve as main on-site client liaison, conducting final walkthroughs and training end users. Required hands-on experience with low-voltage cabling, architectural drawings, AV-over-IP concepts, and a customer-first approach; strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of commercial AV installation and field deployment experience
- Prior lead or supervisor experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field preferred
- AVIXA CTS or CTS-I preferred
- OSHA-30 strongly advantageous
- Working knowledge of IP networking, including routing basics, VoIP, SIP, and enterprise network needs
- Strong written and verbal communication with customer-focused mindset
- Clean Driver’s License
