Job Summary
Lead Attorney with bilingual English/Spanish to manage high-stakes removal defense matters in Phoenix or Glendale. Responsibilities include handling complex motions, briefs, and appellate filings; representing clients in hearings before the BIA and in bond proceedings; mentoring 1–2 removal defense attorneys; coordinating contract or coverage attorneys; and driving excellence in a mission-driven defense program. Required excellence in litigation, legal writing, and case strategy, with the ability to mentor and raise the standard of performance across a high-performing team.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed attorney in good standing
- bilingual English/Spanish
- experience in removal defense or immigration litigation
- ability to mentor and supervise junior attorneys
- strong writing and advocacy skills
- familiarity with BIA proceedings and Master Calendar Hearings
- capacity to manage high-stakes cases and high-quality work output
