Lead Architect - Software Asset Mgt

Job Summary
Manage complete lifecycle of software assets including request, procurement, deployment, usage tracking, renewal, and retirement. Maintain accurate software inventory, entitlements, and license positions while ensuring compliance with vendor licensing agreements for Microsoft, Oracle, and Adobe. Conduct periodic audits, true-up exercises, and analyze usage data to identify under-utilization and compliance gaps. Drive end-to-end procurement processes from requirement validation through contract finalization with finance and legal teams. Manage vendor relationships, monitor contract terms, and support negotiations for pricing and licensing models. Establish SAM policies, enforce governance frameworks, and generate MIS reports on license utilization and procurement spend.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, or IT Procurement
- Strong experience in software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, SaaS)
- Proven exposure to enterprise tools such as ServiceNow SAM, Flexera, Snow, or similar
- Hands-on experience in vendor contract management and audit handling
- Experience working in large enterprise environments
- Bachelor's degree in computer science / IT(BE / BSc / BCA or equivalent)
