Lead Architect

Lead Architect for a brand-new Policy-as-Code platform at Kyndryl, owning the target architecture for enterprise PaC including OPA Control Plane, EOPA lifecycle, and auditability. Define standards and governance patterns, drive ADRs, and ensure scalable, modular, cloud-agnostic designs aligned with regulatory controls. Architect reusable Rego libraries, cloud-abstracted layers, and standardized repository structures; design policy authoring, testing (opa test), and release pipelines with CI/CD integration and Terraform Cloud Run Tasks governance. Lead integration across Terraform Cloud, Kubernetes admission control, and centralized logging/observability; plan migration strategies from legacy policies, oversee rollout and governance forums, and mentor platform engineers and DevSecOps specialists. The role emphasizes 5+ years in OPA/Rego, Terraform/Terraform Cloud, GitHub Actions, GCP, Kubernetes policy enforcement, auditability, and experience delivering cloud platforms in regulated environments. The candidate should demonstrate leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate business and compliance requirements into technical designs, with a track record of producing architecture artefacts and governance documentation.
