Lead APQP Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Lead APQP activities with suppliers across all five phases (Plan and Define Program, Product Design and Development, Process Design and Development, Product and Process Validation, Feedback/Assessment & Corrective Action). Conduct supplier assessments/audits to ensure quality standards; drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for supplier quality issues. Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing to define/improve supplier quality processes; monitor supplier performance metrics and implement improvement plans. Support new product introductions by ensuring supplier readiness and component quality. Travel ~60% to supplier sites primarily in Europe (occasional further travel) for onsite engagement and support with UK security vetting considerations in the hiring process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in Supplier Quality or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders
- Availability for domestic and international travel (mainly Europe)
- Valid UK Driver’s license
- Sole British citizenship with ability to obtain national security vetting clearance to SC level
