Job Summary
Lead shifts in Destination Pet’s animal care team, coaching and guiding staff to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compassionate care for all pet guests. Responsible for monitoring pet health and safety, overseeing medications and special needs guests, and training new hires on proper pet handling and procedures. Ensure high-quality pet care through feeding, fresh water, and daily TLC, along with bathing and brushing. Strong leadership and animal-care background required; CPR training a plus. Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 40 lbs; availability evenings, weekends, and holidays. Focus on creating a positive, organized, and caring environment for pets and their owners.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Med administration experience
- CPR training is a big plus
- Prior work experience in animal care
- Calm under pressure and able to guide teammates
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
