Lead Analytics Engineer

Job Summary
Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities, priorities, and professional development of the Analytics Engineering team. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable analytics solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. Lead the design and development of interactive dashboards, develop data models, and define KPIs to support enterprise reporting. Work closely with Data Engineers and AI/ML Engineers to integrate predictive analytics and advanced capabilities into business reporting. Establish standards for data visualization best practices, ensure data quality and governance, and foster a data-literate culture through self-service analytics initiatives. Provide technical leadership on visualization strategies, performance optimization, and storytelling while mentoring a high-performing team.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in analytics and data visualization, designing and delivering reporting solutions to meet business needs
- Strong expertise in data visualization tools, particularly Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- Proven experience in data modeling, data preparation, and transformation to support effective reporting and visual analytics
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop clear and actionable dashboards and reports
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and/or projects with ability to manage competing priorities and drive successful deliver of data solutions
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles as they apply to dashboard design and data storytelling
- Experience working with cloud-based data environments, preferably Microsoft Fabric
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with DAX or similar languages for creating advanced calculations and measures in reporting tools
- Strong experience in Python and PySpark for data analytics
- Ability to balance business needs with technical feasibility, providing high-quality visualization solutions that drive business value
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain complex data in a way that is meaningful and understandable to business users
- Passion for data-driven decision making and a strong sense of curiosity to continuously explore new opportunities for improvement
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree (or higher) in Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is considered a strong plus
- Knowledge of Python for advanced data analytics and integration with visualization platforms
- Experience in Data Analytics or Data Science to effectively translate business needs into data-driven insights, with the ability to perform basic statistical analysis
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices in data visualization for large-scale environments
- Experience in performance optimization of dashboards and large-scale reporting solutions
- Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics, Copilot for Power BI, or integrating AI/ML outputs into reporting solutions
