Job Summary
Analyze South Korean and Japanese markets to inform product decisions, from reducing onboarding friction to optimizing established funnels. Partner with product and engineering teams to set KPIs, monitor conversion and engagement, and lead product discovery for new capabilities. Build growth roadmaps for the expanding Korean market while deepening retention and uncovering adjacent use cases in mature Japan. Challenge high-value areas to drive faster, more effective growth strategies. Work cross-functionally within the APAC analytics pod to share playbooks and align initiatives with global money transfer goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in a similar or progressive role
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Strong analytical mind and product intuition
- exposure to the South Korean and/or Japanese banking, payments, or financial services industry
- Technically confident in advanced SQL and python
- Experience working with technical teams (PMs, engineers, analysts)
- Relevant experience in a data driven and complex environment with limited guidance
- Understanding of events data - Mixpanel / Google Analytics / Amplitude or similar
- Excellent data visualisation and presentation skills
- Hustler-mentality. You can take work beyond the analysis and get things done.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional fluency or working proficiency in Korean or Japanese is a plus
- Knowledge of the fintech ecosystem in South Korea and Japan
- Knowledge of regulations and competitive landscape
- Knowledge of utilities like Airflow/Github/DBT
- Experience on funnel optimization
- Experience in Data Science and Machine Learning
- Interest in learning new tools
