Job Summary
The Lead Analyst - Portfolio Insights role sits within the Corporate Risk Insights team, focusing on data-informed strategies to manage risk in the Pay-As-You-Go business model. Responsibilities include reviewing portfolio, credit, and collections performance to identify risk patterns; developing statistical models and testing frameworks (e.g., A/B testing) to improve credit policies; designing and interpreting KPIs; translating complex statistical findings into practical business recommendations; building dashboards and reporting tools (Looker) and automating recurring data workflows; contributing to customer segmentation and survey design; and presenting insights to diverse stakeholders. Required qualifications center on advanced quantitative degrees, 4+ years in credit risk, strong SQL and Python or R skills, familiarity with statistical methods and experimentation, BI tool experience (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and cloud data experience; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- 4+ years of experience in credit risk management roles, preferably within FinTech or modern consumer lending institutions
- Demonstrated experience delivering data-based insights that informed business direction or program evaluation outcomes
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders
- Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one data programming language (Python or R)
- Solid knowledge of statistical methods, regression techniques, and hypothesis testing
- Familiarity with experimentation methods, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and quasi-experimental approaches
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
- Experience working with cloud data environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is an advantage
- Soft Skills: data reasoning, attention to detail, stakeholder communication, multi-priority management, proactive ownership
