Job Summary
Lead and coordinate department operations by understanding daily objectives and supervisor goals. Ensure all port safety regulations are met and adhered to while ordering, tracking, and maintaining parts inventory. Enter, close, and maintain repair orders and stop orders, plus input data into internal and customer portals. Work closely with onsite customer representatives and assist team members in completing daily tasks. This full-time day shift role involves moderate physical activity in an indoor office or production setting. No direct reports.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Credential)
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to work as a team
- Ability to organize and prioritize competing responsibilities
- Punctual and dependable person
- Ability to lead a team
- Full-time position
- Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift
- This position often requires overtime
- This position does not have any travel requirements
Desired Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school
- Three to six months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
