Job Summary
Lead Alterations Specialist is responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to high standards, supervising and training Alterations Specialists, and driving a 5 Star Customer Experience. Responsibilities include leading alterations fittings, sewing, steaming, and spot cleaning of garments, maintaining quality control, assisting stylists with gown fit and customization, and communicating daily sales goals to the Store Manager. The role emphasizes customer-focused service, problem solving, and providing product and service information, with duties spanning fittings, alterations, and coordination of alterations services to ensure garments meet pristine condition before delivery. Requires strong customer service skills, sewing proficiency, and prior retail experience; education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent. The position is full-time with comprehensive benefits in a retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or degree
- Prior seeing experience preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior experience with computerized POS system and ability to use one
