Job Summary
Lead AI Engineer to architect and develop agentic AI systems within Equiti's fintech ecosystem. Build production-grade ML and LLM-powered applications (including recommendation systems, copilots, and automation engines), design ML pipelines with model training, evaluation, and monitoring, and implement RAG and vector search. Apply AI techniques to finance-focused problems such as risk assessment, fraud detection, and operational optimization; translate business needs with finance, risk, sales, and product teams. Lead development of full-stack AI applications (back-end microservices and front-end interfaces) using Python and modern web technologies (React, Node.js, FastAPI, Django); ensure reliability, scalability, security, and cloud-native deployment; oversee integration of AI systems into existing infrastructure and workflows. Provide technical leadership and mentorship, drive the AI roadmap, and collaborate across engineering, product, finance, and operations to foster AI innovation. Preferred qualifications include Master's or PhD in CS/AI/Engineering or related field; fintech/quantitative finance experience; experience with high-performance or real-time systems.
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level Python for AI/ML engineering
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, agentic frameworks, vector databases, and prompt engineering
- Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and applied statistics
- Solid full-stack engineering skills (front-end + back-end)
- Understanding of APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and MLOps (Azure AI factory)
- Domain knowledge in finance, trading, CFDs, and A-book/B-book operating models
