Job Summary
Lead Actuarial Data Scientist to oversee technical actuarial modeling, including pricing models, and actuarial systems. Responsible for oversight of a team of actuarial data scientists supporting ERGO NEXT from the ERGO Global Pricing Hub, and for governance of actuarial aspects of models built by ERGO NEXT actuaries and data scientists. Develop cutting-edge technical frameworks for actuarial modeling leveraging AI/ML, establish standards for model review/validation, and collaborate with legal/compliance to meet US actuarial standards. Regularly engage with executive leadership to translate complex data into actionable insights and influence cross-functional decisions. Emphasis on strategic roadmap, project delivery, and leadership across time zones and countries. Desirable skills include SQL, R, Python, data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI), and familiarity with Akur8 or Radar; strong emphasis on leadership, communication, and a forward-thinking approach to AI-enabled pricing.
Required Qualifications
- FCAS/ACAS mandatory
- 8+ years of experience in actuarial domains, especially pricing
- Familiarity with small commercial P&C insurance products
- Comfortable using AI platforms to accelerate delivery
- Experience applying ML techniques to actuarial pricing
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence
- Comfortable working across time zones and countries
- Experience in SQL/R/Python
- Experience with actuarial software platforms such as Akur8 or Radar
