Job Summary
Lead-3 role providing ongoing feedback on performance and participating in process development and cost improvement projects. Coordinate department resources, assist in budget planning and manage department expenses, and communicate daily plans while addressing production or customer-service issues. Highlight material shortages and interface with Expediter/Purchasing on part shortages; recognize bottlenecks and monitor downtime. Report and alert resources concerning downtime, interface with Test Support/Maintenance on equipment problems, and track time for NP I/Pre-production/re-work. Communicate with the opposite shift to ensure flow, update department boards, follow quality indicators, and stop/alert if indicators fall below target. Serve as primary contact for scrap-related situations in any process step. Demonstrate manufacturing line skills, apply new technologies, and present information effectively to individuals and small groups. Requires an Associate’s Degree (or vocational/technical training) and typically 4 years of related experience; strong problem-solving and interpretation of instructions, along with the ability to compute rates and ratios and interpret data visuals.
