Job Summary
LDAR Field Technician responsible for inspections of facilities in the Oil and Gas industry to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents. Responsibilities include assisting in navigating to facilities with maps and GPS, calibrating and maintaining equipment, using detection and measurement technologies under supervision, collecting and recording emission data, and preparing field reports. Requires experience in Oil and Gas, strong computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Office), proficiency with Android OS, the ability to work part-time (days only), a valid driver's license, and the physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather. Preference given to candidates with an associate or bachelors degree in engineering technology or applicable technical degree, diploma, or related experience in LDAR or hydrocarbon measurement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Oil and Gas industry (preference given to candidates with natural gas processing/transmission facility experience)
- Effective computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Office) and proficiency with Android OS
- Ability to work part-time hours (days only)
- Valid drivers license
- Associate or bachelors degree in engineering technology or applicable technical degree/diploma preferred
- Related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, instrumentation or stack emission testing or a mechanical background preferred but not required
