Job Summary
Provide psychological and social work interventions to patients, families, and significant others to remove psychosocial barriers and coordinate treatment. Deliver crisis intervention, distress screening, and risk assessments while connecting clients to community resources. Support individual needs to maximize symptom self-management, enhance quality of life, and assist clients in achieving the best possible functional level. Requires a Master's degree, three years of mental health experience, one year of oncology experience, and LCSW or LPC licensure. Includes CPR certification. Schedule is 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Northside Hospital, an award-winning facility expanding care in Atlanta.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related mental health discipline with an emphasis on clinical experience
- Three years experience past Master's in the mental health field
- One year of experience working with oncology patients
- Licensed as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
- Must be CPR certified
Desired Qualifications
- Prior clinical experience providing outpatient mental health or inpatient psychiatric services
- Specialized training in cancer care through continued education and on the job experience
