Job Summary
LC-MS/MS Analyst Technologist I responsible for preparing samples for LC-MS/MS analysis, performing instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and data analysis to ensure validity of results. Responsibilities include handling specimens and documentation, resolving discrepancies, calibrating and maintaining instruments, preparing reagents and quality control materials, performing parallel testing and quality control practices, and ensuring proper data entry and peer review prior to release of results. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or equivalent and the ability to work independently and within a team; ability to pass a color blindness test; and flexibility for overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Bachelor’s degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
- Six months experience performing manual extractions and working with LC-MS/MS systems in production.
