Job Summary
Design and deliver individualized instructional strategies for 4th and 5th grade special education students while implementing IEPs and monitoring progress toward goals. Create a structured, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where students build confidence and strengthen essential skills. Partner with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student achievement and maintain required documentation. Serve as a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) during the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time role supports diverse learners within a dedicated educational team focused on empowering every student.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement
- Full-time assignment for the 2026–2027 academic year
- Serve students in 4th and 5th grade special education classrooms
Desired Qualifications
- Previous school-based special education experience is preferred
