Job Summary
Layout Integration Engineer responsible for development and delivery of integrated plant layouts across Fusion and Modular Nuclear programmes, including SMRs, AMRs and Fusion projects. Own layout development for assigned systems/buildings, develop integrated equipment, piping, cable tray, access and maintenance layouts, interpret PFDs/P&IDs and design constraints, work within 3D CAD/BIM environments, lead piping routing studies, coordinate design across multiple disciplines, act as the primary layout focal point, manage interfaces and deliver general arrangements and engineering deliverables, and present technical solutions to stakeholders. Supports modularisation, construction and maintainability assessments with a focus on safety, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent industrial experience.
- Experience in plant layout, piping design, plant design or multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Experience within nuclear, power generation, defence, submarine, oil & gas, process plant or other complex engineering environments.
- Experience using E3D, PDMS, Plant 3D, Siemens NX, Revit, Inventor or similar CAD/BIM tools.
- Experience using Navisworks or equivalent model review software.
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation including PFDs and P&IDs.
- Understanding of systems engineering principles, requirements management and interface management.
- Strong communication and report writing skills.
- SC Clearance or capable of achieving it.
