Job Summary
Layout Integration Engineer at Assystem responsible for development and delivery of integrated plant layouts across Fusion and Modular Nuclear programmes (including SMRs, AMRs, and Fusion). Own layout development for assigned systems/buildings, develop integrated equipment, piping, cable tray, and access layouts, interpret PFDs/P&IDs and equipment data sheets, manage design assumptions and interfaces, develop layouts within 3D CAD/BIM environments, lead piping routing studies, coordinate across multiple disciplines, lead workshops and reviews, identify clashes and drive their resolution, ensure solutions meet system, safety, construction, and maintenance requirements, and produce general arrangements and engineering deliverables. Qualifications include degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, experience with plant layout/piping/multidisciplinary projects, nuclear/regulated environments, proficiency with CAD/BIM tools (E3D, PDMS, Plant 3D, NX, Revit, Inventor, Navisworks), ability to interpret PFDs/P&IDs, and understanding of systems engineering and interface management; SC Clearance or ability to obtain it. Required Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent industrial experience
- Experience in plant layout, piping design, plant design or multidisciplinary engineering projects
- Experience within nuclear, power generation, defence, submarine, oil & gas, process plant or other complex engineering environments
- Experience using E3D, PDMS, Plant 3D, Siemens NX, Revit, Inventor or similar CAD/BIM tools
- Experience using Navisworks or equivalent model review software
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation including PFDs and P&IDs
- Understanding of systems engineering principles, requirements management and interface management
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- SC Clearance or capable of achieving it
