Job Summary
Layout Engineer responsible for establishing control lines from control points, layout foundations, and layout of vertical formwork such as columns and walls; establish elevation control points and layout decks, deck edges, embeds block-outs, and other items required by contract. Perform basic layout and field engineering activities, assist in surveying, review project documents, provide clerical support and documentation of engineering activities, maintain surveying equipment, and contribute to the team while working in potentially extreme weather and construction-site conditions. Minimum one year of field engineering/layout experience, strong ability to read contract drawings (structural and architectural) and cross-check between them, and effective communication skills. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in field engineering/lay-out
- Good communication skills; written, verbal, interpersonal
- Proficient at reading and understanding contract drawings, including structural and architectural drawings, with the ability to cross check between the two documents
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in fast paced environment
- Possess knowledge of construction field engineering from pre-construction to completion, preferred
