Job Summary
Field Service Technician role focused on troubleshooting and installing equipment for Granite Construction. Responsibilities include servicing trucks and equipment to field requirements, operating tools for shop and field repairs, troubleshooting and repairing electrical assemblies, rebuilding or repairing drill rigs and ancillary equipment, overseeing completion of repairs and shop fabrication, locating and requisitioning parts, ensuring compliance with transportation and safety regulations, maintaining safe conditions, and providing accurate payroll information. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Class B driver’s license (endorsments a plus), and willingness to travel out of town up to a week. Granite emphasizes safety, equal opportunity, and a long-standing commitment to building infrastructure; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and operate in a demanding field environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license (Class B)
- Minimum 1 year of field technician experience
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot electrical assemblies
- Willingness to travel out of town up to 1 week as necessary
