Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach in delivering sports activity coaching and supervision to K-12 secondary school students. Instruct students on sport fundamentals, coordinate try-outs, and manage practice schedules while monitoring athlete and equipment safety. Develop individual athletes according to their abilities and encourage sustained activity levels through core movement and skill training. Complete required GHSA "PREPARE/First Aid" and "Principles for Coaching" exams within three months of class date. This role involves variable environments including school grounds, stadiums, and off-site competition locations, requiring frequent travel and physical effort outdoors.
Required Qualifications
- PREPARE/ First Aid exam
- Principles for Coaching exam
- Georgia High School Association Coaching exam
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to manage projects and duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Responsible for multiple functions of supervision (athletes, equipments and staff as needed) with a high-level accountability for effective operation and results
- Variable work environment – Office Setting, School grounds, Stadiums
- Frequent travel for off-site competition/training locations
- Work requires physical effort 70% of the time or more outdoors
- Moderate to lifting based on sport
