Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach in delivering sports activity coaching and supervision to K-12 secondary school athletes. Instruct students on sports fundamentals, coordinate practice schedules, and manage equipment issuance. Monitor try-outs, supervise assigned teams, and guide students on appropriate sport participation levels. Ensure safety precautions are followed and adhere to Georgia High School Association policies and regulations. Complete required "PREPARE/First Aid" and "Principles for Coaching" exams within three months. This role involves working outdoors with physical effort and frequent travel for off-site competitions.
Required Qualifications
- PREPARE/ First Aid exam
- Principles for Coaching exam
- Georgia High School Association Coaching exam
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to manage projects and duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Responsible for multiple functions of supervision (athletes, equipments and staff as needed) with a high-level accountability for effective operation and results
- Variable work environment – Office Setting, School grounds, Stadiums
- Frequent travel for off-site competition/training locations
- Work requires physical effort 70% of the time or more outdoors
- Moderate to lifting based on sport
