Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach in delivering sports coaching to K-12 secondary school age children by providing supervision, training, and skill development. Instruct students on sports fundamentals, coordinate try-outs, and manage practice schedules while monitoring athlete decisions and equipment issuance. Guide student athletes toward appropriate sport participation levels and work with partners to monitor delivery impacts and healthy lifestyles. Complete required GHSA exams including "PREPARE/First Aid" and "Principles for Coaching" within three months. This position reports to the Head Coach and requires frequent travel for off-site competitions and physical effort outdoors.
Required Qualifications
- PREPARE/ First Aid exam completion
- Principles for Coaching exam completion
- Georgia High School Association Coaching exam
- Understanding and knowledge of rules and regulations presented by the GHSA
- Ability to manage projects and duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High-level accountability for effective operation and results
- Ability to discuss issues of moderate importance
- 21 years of age or older
