Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach in delivering sports coaching to K-12 students by instructing them on fundamentals, supervising practices, and coordinating try-outs. Manage equipment issuance, monitor athlete safety, and guide students on appropriate participation levels. Collaborate with staff to set team rules and policies while ensuring compliance with GHSA regulations and Constitution. Requires completing "PREPARE/First Aid" and "Principles for Coaching" exams within three months of class date. This position involves 70% outdoor physical effort, moderate lifting, and frequent travel for off-site competitions. A stipend is provided.
Required Qualifications
- PREPARE/ First Aid exam
- Principles for Coaching exam
- Georgia High School Association Coaching exam
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to manage projects and duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to discuss issues of moderate importance
- Responsibility for multiple functions of supervision
- High-level accountability for effective operation and results
- Ability to travel for off-site competition/training locations
- Ability to work outdoors 70% of the time or more
