Job Summary
Manage a caseload of high-profile litigation and contentious regulatory matters, delivering support for projects and advising stakeholders on strategic decision-making. Work alongside colleagues to brief external law firms, identify legal risks, and act as legal representative in business and divisional projects. Identify and develop protocols to improve the efficiency of litigation workloads while collaborating with business and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales or Scotland
- Current legal practicing certificate
- Knowledge of dispute resolution
- Previous experience as a litigator in a law firm and/or in-house
- Experience of legal issues in the banking and financial services sector
- Sound understanding of the technical and procedural factors affecting contentious matters
- Ability to communicate ideas, risks, and strategies clearly and concisely – both orally and in written form
- Ability to build trusting and collaborative relationships
- Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
- Must be available for hybrid working (at least two days per week, or 40% of time, at one of our office sites)
