Job Summary
Diagnose insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest-prone areas while performing fertilization and pest management on trees, shrubs, and lawns using spray and injection tools. Operate, maintain, and properly drive trucks and sprayers while cultivating plant health quality post-application. Communicate diagnoses, prescribed services, and progress updates to clients and supervisors. Requires valid driver's license, ability to complete Davey Tree Qualified Plant Health Care Tech training, and First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses. Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Qualified Plant Health Care Tech training program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Up to 25% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
- Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID, Pathology and knowledge of turf or tree physiology
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
