Job Summary
Lawn Care Manager responsible for applying fertilizers and pesticides, responding to customer requests, completing necessary production forms, and ensuring cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment in the Palm Springs North, FL area. Requires a high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Strong reading/comprehension, math, communication, and time-management skills are essential. Must be able to lift 50-pound bags, work outdoors, and manage daily routes with customer interaction. Salary range $50,000–$65,000 plus health care, 401(k) with employer match, PTO, disability coverage, and training. Notable responsibilities include meeting safety procedures, maintaining facilities/equipment, and handling day-to-day operational issues.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience and/or training in agronomy, horticulture, and/or customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
- Apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns in accordance with established schedules, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Respond promptly to customer requests for telephone and in-person service visits.
- Complete necessary production forms and follow customer instructions.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Contribute to maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.
- Address any miscellaneous issues that may arise in day-to-day operations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficient mathematical skills for calculating figures and amounts, including square footage, percentages, and discounts.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with punctuality for on-time attendance.
