Job Summary
Perform basic and complex diagnostics and repairs on John Deere, Stihl, Honda, and other agricultural and turf equipment. Maintain current knowledge of competitive products, participate in required Service EDUCATE Training programs, and keep vehicles, inventory, tools, and work areas clean and orderly. Follow all safety rules, complete assigned reports and forms, and account for all time and material used on time cards. Possess 1+ years of experience performing service repairs with a positive attitude and ability to work Saturdays. Valid driver's license required; Fork lift license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working on products ranging from handheld equipment, walk-behind mowers, lawn and garden to 100HP tractors along with skid steers
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Must have their own tools
- Basic understanding of computers
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Ability to work Saturdays
- 1+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with ATV's and utility vehicles
- Candidates working on products from John Deere, Stihl, and Honda Power equipment
- Basic Service Technician certification
- Associates degree
- Fork lift license
