Job Summary
Operate equipment and assist in maintenance of grounds and buildings. Report to Maintenance Supervisor and know locations of shut-off switches and valves to all utilities. Report and remove hazards and dangerous conditions that may result in accidents and fire. Effect economies of operation by preventing needless use of supplies, water, electricity, and fuel. Perform all duties assigned by the Supervisor with minimum interference with the school program. Help unload prepared food from food service trucks on occasion. Attend all meetings called by Supervisor. Maintain respectful working relationships within the school environment. Do not attempt major mechanical, structural, electrical, or plumbing repairs. Do not discipline students; report careless activities to the principal.
Required Qualifications
- Be clean and neat enough to present the proper appearance when confronting students, employees, and the public
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently, 100 lbs. occasionally and 100+ lbs. with assistance
