Job Summary
Lawn Care Specialist responsibilities include soil analysis and turf-condition diagnosis, applying customized treatments to control insects, diseases, and weeds, providing seeding and aeration services, using specialized equipment and blends for lawn needs, educating clients about lawn care, and independently managing a territory. The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, problem-solving, and ownership of landscapes, with a background in turf-related fields and hands-on lawn care experience.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Turf, Entomology, Plant Sciences, Horticulture, or equivalent experience (preferred)
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in lawn care maintenance and turf application
- Ability to operate lawn care equipment and perform heavy lifting in all weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and the independence to work autonomously
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills to communicate effectively with clients
- Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Turf, Entomology, Plant Sciences, or Horticulture or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of hands-on lawn care maintenance and turf application experience
- Pesticide/Herbicide Applicator’s License or ability to obtain one
- Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.
