Job Summary
Perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned lawn and garden equipment, including competitive brands. Operate vehicles, tools, and equipment required for job responsibilities while maintaining their condition. Conduct or support customer clinics and mentor apprentices as requested. Maintain current product knowledge, complete all reports and forms, and track materials used. Follow safety rules and regulations while ensuring a clean, orderly work area. Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agriculture and turf equipment
- Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly
- Adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
- Driving record that meets Employer's insurance company requirements
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and obtain Medical Examiner's Certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree
- demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures with limited re-work or customer dissatisfaction
- Experience with basic computer functions
- experience using Service ADVISORTM or other computer-based diagnostic repair tools
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing
- Forklift license
