Job Summary
Deliver high-quality, timely legal advice and services for medico-legal claims and commercial clients by assisting with legal research, drafting briefs and contracts, and reviewing case files. Conduct analysis on various issues and attend client meetings, court hearings, and proceedings as required. Manage case files and coordinate with clients while staying updated on legal developments. Rotate through practice areas including civil litigation, professional conduct, workplace law, commercial advisory, estate planning, and property over a 12-month fixed term. Commence Practical Legal Training in February 2027.
Required Qualifications
- Completed or in final semester of study at an Australian university
- Will have completed degree by end of 2026
- Ability to express ideas effectively with proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of prioritisation, time management and self-management skills
- Willingness to learn and take on board feedback
- Works collaboratively and constructively to support a positive team culture
- Excellent computer literacy and competency to work in an electronic document management environment
- Unlimited working rights in Australia
