Job Summary
Performs legal research, drafting, and case preparation for Uintah County Attorney's Office. Assists with criminal prosecutions and county representation; reviews police reports and body-worn camera footage to identify legal issues and support trial strategy; drafts motions, briefs, and memoranda; may appear in court for arraignments and hearings under student practice rules; manages discovery deadlines; assists with appellate briefs, witness interviews, and victim consultations.
Required Qualifications
- Current 3rd-year law students (or incoming 3Ls) in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school
- Having successfully completed two full years of legal coursework
- Must qualify for, secure, and maintain a student practice certificate under the Utah Supreme Court Rules of Professional Practice for the duration of employment
