Job Summary
Conduct case research to find new and relevant authorities, Shepardize cases and statutes, and perform cite corrections ensuring adherence to Bluebook/style guidelines. Support the volunteer authors of the Maryland State Bar Association's legal treatise, specifically updating the 8th Edition of Pleading Causes of Action in Maryland. Requires strong legal research and writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and current 2L law student status. Compensation is $17.00 per hour for an average of 15 hours per week, with flexibility during reading weeks and final exam periods. This long-term project continues throughout the candidate's remaining time in law school.
