Law Clerk - Health Law - 3+ Years - London (Hybrid) – 12-Month Contract Role

Job Summary
Manage client files throughout their lifecycle, ensuring documents are accurately saved, organized, and maintained in accordance with firm protocols. Apply sound judgment to anticipate next steps and proactively identify potential issues or risks. Implement a bring-forward system to track deadlines, coordinate document production including medical records, and prepare case materials such as briefs and chronologies. Draft affidavits, review discovery transcripts, and assist with trial and regulatory hearing preparation while identifying expert witnesses and arranging third-party services. Communicate professionally with clients, counsel, and regulators to obtain information and advance files. Conduct legal research, prepare correspondence for lawyer review, and assist with billing processes. This 12-month hybrid contract requires a minimum of three days in the office and is open to candidates with over three years of legal experience. The deadline to apply is August 5, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent education and experience
- 3 - 5 years in a legal environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- experience with legal document management systems
- familiarity with legal research tools and case management software
- Understanding of litigation processes
- Able to troubleshoot and resolve administrative and procedural issues
- Exercises discretion when handling sensitive information
- interacts with clients and external parties with professionalism and respect
- This is a Hybrid position and requires a minimum of 3 days in office or as required
- A strong interest in health law is essential
Desired Qualifications
- prior health law experience
- The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience working in a similar position
- Health law experience is an asset
- preferably in litigation
- Working knowledge of Relativity and ACL is an asset
