Job Summary
Conduct professional legal research, prepare briefs and memoranda, and compile references on laws and decisions for the Honorable Kristi D. Stanislawski. Confers with the judge on legal questions and attends court sessions to record oral arguments and case information. Perform courtroom duties including calling the calendar, swearing in jury panels, taking minutes, and assisting in arraignments, motions, and trials. Execute assigned administrative tasks while maintaining records attendant to court proceedings. Submit a resume, brief writing samples, and law school transcripts; core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- current enrollment in and completion of at least one year of law school training at a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA)
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- An attorney who has taken and passed the Minnesota Bar Exam
