Law Clerk, Dispute Resolution Advocacy - 8+ Years - Toronto (Hybrid) - 18 Month Contract Role

Job Summary
Manage client files throughout their lifecycle, ensuring documents are accurately saved, organized, and maintained in accordance with firm protocols. Apply sound judgment to anticipate next steps and proactively identify potential issues or risks. Implement and maintain an effective bring-forward system in ACL for timely follow-up, milestone reporting, and tracking of deadlines. Draft correspondence, pleadings, legal documents, and reporting letters while coordinating with the eDiscovery team to scan, load, and code documents in Relativity. Schedule Examinations for Discovery, prepare Notices of Examination, and assist with trial preparation. Compile and file pleadings, motion records, briefs, and court materials. Draft Costs Outlines and Bills of Costs, and coordinate capacity assessments for guardianship applications. This 18-month contract requires a minimum of eight years of law clerk experience, preferably in litigation, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the Toronto office.
Required Qualifications
- Law Clerk Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience as a Law Clerk in a legal environment
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures and processes
